The Plane Tree Cabinet brings fibreboard—typically hidden—into focus, celebrating its potential as both a structural and aesthetic material. Precision-milled with CNC technology, the surface becomes a canvas for unexpected beauty.

What sets this piece apart are the inlays of real plane tree bark. Collected as it naturally peels from the tree, each fragment is carefully selected, hand-sorted, and embedded into the milled surface. Their irregular shapes, organic textures and subtle hues create a tactile and playful contrast, grounding the cabinet in quiet, natural elegance.

Each piece is visually unique—shaped as much by nature as by design. The result is a study in contrast: industrial yet organic, precise yet unpredictable.

The Plane Tree Cabinet explores a new aesthetic language for sustainable materials— one that values authenticity, imperfection, and the emotional resonance of the natural world. It doesn‘t imitate nature; it collaborates with it. In doing so, it points to a future where sustainability is not a limitation, but a driver of creativity.
